About Ms. Dang
Who is Ms. Dang?
I was born and raised in Minnesota by Vietnamese refugee parents. My first language is Vietnamese and I actually spent my first year in school as an ESL student. Growing up, I spent a lot of my summers traveling around the United States and the world. From that, I grew a love of learning about and appreciating different cultures. This led me to pursue a career in teaching English as a second language. I attained my Bachelor's of Science in Foundations of Elementary Education, and my license and Master's in Education in teaching ESL from the University of Minnesota. This will be my sixth year teaching!
Besides traveling, I love photography, trying new foods, spending time with my friends and family, being active, and playing with my two dogs. My dream is to become a better teacher year after year and to get a chance to use my skills to teach abroad during my summers.
